Day 1 Australia - Delhi, India
Today depart from either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth for Delhi, India! Fly with either Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines or Thai Airways to name a few (subject to availability). Upon arrival, meet the tour representative and receive a welcome garland at the airport. Then, travel to the first hotel. While check in is organised, a representative will provide the ‘Welcome Folder’ documents and brief you on the tour programme.

Day 2 Delhi City Tour
After breakfast enjoy a half day city tour of New Delhi. Visit Laxminarayan Temple - dedicated to Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and good fortune - and India Gate, a 42m high stone of triumph and war memorial. The tour continues with a visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan, the palace-like building home to the President of India. Afterwards, visit the beautiful Lotus Temple, a Bahai house of worship. Adherents of any faith can visit, pray or meditate. See the Pre-Diwali Festival Celebrations with the city and buildings illuminated and the local markets a buzz with Diwali gifts and souvenirs. Day 3 Diwali Festival Celebrations
Celebrated with great excitement and grandeur, Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a Hindu festival that unites the whole of India. Traditionally believed to be a Hindu festival of wealth and prosperity, Diwali has become an occasion for all Indians irrespective of their status and castes. In the afternoon, visit the local market to witness the grandeur of this festival of lights. Continue the celebrations into the evening and witness the Puja (prayer) at the hotel followed by dinner. Day 4 Delhi - Agra (approx. 203 kms)
Delve deeper into Delhi today with a half day city tour of Old Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat (where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated); Red Fort (made famous by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan); and Jama Masjid (the largest mosque in India) which has three great gateways, four angle towers and two minarets constructed of alternating vertical strips of red sandstone and white marble. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through vibrant Chandni Chowk market, a colourful shopping bazaar in Old Delhi. This afternoon, relax as you travel from Delhi to Agra - the quintessential Mughal City. It is here you will witness the famed Taj Mahal. So awe-inspiring is the monument that Agra has been immortalised as the City of the Taj. As visitors walk down the narrow bustling streets, they cannot help but wonder if the man contentedly smoking a hookah is a direct descendent of some bygone Mughal. Day 5 Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
Early risers can take the opportunity to head to the Taj Mahal and experience the monument just after sunrise, (not included), then return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast everyone will embark on a city tour visiting the Taj Mahal, which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Besides the Taj, the Agra Fort (also called the Red Fort) makes an interesting sight. Overnight: Agra (Standard Or Premium Hotel Option)Meals included: Breakfast Day 6 Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Bharatpur (approx. 64 kms) Today after breakfast travel to Bharatpur. On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory). Built out of red sandstone, the small fortified city was the capital of the Mughal Empire for 10 years. Continue on to Bharatpur, a bird lover’s paradise home to more than 370 bird species. This afternoon you will experience a bird watching tour by rickshaw. If luck permits, you could perhaps spot 50 - 100 species. Bharatpur is one of the only two known wintering haunts of the Siberian Crane. Day 7 Bharatpur - Chand Baori Step Well - Jaipur (approx. 198 kms)
Enjoy breakfast before setting out for Jaipur. Along the way, visit the Chand Baori Step Well - located opposite a temple known as Harshat Mata Temple. It is believed that the step well has a religious connection and that’s the reason it was built in front of the temple. The picturesque capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur is instantly recognisable for it’s pink-washed buildings, a colour associated with hospitality in Rajput culture. There is a timeless appeal to Jaipur’s colourful bazaars, where one can shop for Rajasthani textiles and trinkets. The beautifully laid out gardens and parks, attractive monuments and heritage hotels, once the residence of Maharajas, are all worth a look. Day 8 Jaipur City Tour & Amber Fort
Enjoy a full day city sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Begin with a morning excursion to Amber Fort. Located 11km from Jaipur, it was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of Amber. Built of white marble and red sandstone, the fort looks even more attractive because of the Maota Lake in the foreground. This afternoon enjoy a city tour visiting the City Palace, the former royal residence, built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles; Jantar Mantar, the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh; and Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, which was constructed for the royal ladies to watch royal processions without being seen. Day 9 Jaipur - Jodhpur (approx. 335 kms)
After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur. On arrival check in at the hotel. Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. The graceful palaces, forts and temples of the city bring the historic grandeur to life, while exquisite handicrafts, folk dances, music and the brightly attired people lend a romantic aura to the city. Day 10 Jodhpur City Tour
Relax over breakfast before taking the day to explore Jodhpur visiting Jaswant Thada, a cluster of royal cenotaphs built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, followed by Umaid Bhawan Palace, the only 20th century palace built under the famine relief project that gave employment to the famine struck population. Day 11 Jodhpur - Pushkar (approx. 185 kms)
Head to Pushkar today. Characterised by a picturesque valley, mountainous regions and several pilgrimage sites of importance, Pushkar is well known. It marks one of the revered Hindu pilgrimage sites of India and houses the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the world. Join in the festivities and fun of the Pushkar Camel Fair. The locals dress up in traditional clothing during this much-awaited camel fair. The soulful tunes of the Rajasthani folk songs will make your time unforgettable. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Pushkar, visiting the Brahma Temple, constructed using marble and stone slabs, and beautifully painted in shades of blue and red. Also visit the Pushkar Lake, which is surrounded by almost 500 temples. The lake has 52 ghats, steps leading to the water, each of which were once the personal ghats for the 52 Maharajas of Rajasthan who performed sacred rituals here. Day 12 Pushkar Camel Fair
The sprawling annual festivities of the 100 year old Pushkar Fair commence today. The day of the full moon, according to legend, when the Hindu god Brahma sprung up the Pushkar Lake, thus numerous people swim in its sacred waters. Day 13 Pushkar - Ajmer - Delhi (Shatabdi Express Train) 
After breakfast enjoy some more events before departing this afternoon. Depart for the Ajmer Railway Station to board the Shatabdi Express for Delhi. The journey is approx. 5 - 6hrs. CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURE
Rajasthan Region:
The days are sunny and quite warm while nights are cool during November. This is the best time to visit Rajasthan, creating a perfect ambience for exploring the princely state.

Delhi:
Delhi is warm and dry at this time of year, with an average temperature of 20°C, highs of 27°C and lows of a cool 13°C after dark. With such big changes in temperature from day to night, you’ll need to come prepared with summer clothes and warm layers.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER

Tour Guide: Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group.

Tour Leader: An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined. Please note: Tour leaders/guides are not a standard inclusion in all travel offers. Tour leaders/guides will only be made available when particularly required to enhance the experience of the destination featured.

COACH TOUR

Meals: 16 meals are included in the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. You can also enquire about any allergies and food and if necessary advise meals to be to be prepared with any medication you require.
Please note: The premium package meals consist of breakfast, lunch and dinner daily starting with dinner on day 2 and finishing with breakfast on day 14.

Luggage: You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.

Gratuities: Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip for the tour leader and driver is 250 rupees (approx. $6 AUD) per person per day, which will be collected whilst on tour.

Fitness Level Required / Mobility: Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile. A Tourist Visa for India is a strict requirement if travelling on an Australian Passport. You will be able to start your Visa application process once you receive your final travel documentation approximately 6 weeks prior to departure.
