Day 1: Sunday 18 March 2018 - Toowoomba to Melbourne

Departure from Toowoomba and transfer to Brisbane Airport for a flight to Melbourne. On arrival, a luxury Stonestreets Travel coach and crew will greet the group and head to the Queen Victoria Markets. These historic open air markets show off the heart and soul of Melbourne. Here you can eat, shop and explore the iconic food halls and heritage sheds in the largest open-air market in the Southern Hemisphere. In the afternoon, join Melbourne Cruises for a relaxing cruise along the Yarra River. See the city skyline pass by and spot famous sights including the cultural arts precinct and picturesque parklands. Later, travel and check in to Travelodge Southbank, in the heart of Melbourne's Southbank Precinct. Tonight, dine at Pure South Dining, just a 2 minute stroll from the accommodation. Meals: LD

Day 2: Monday 19 March 2018 - MCG & Colonial Tramcar

After breakfast begin the lengthy journey to the Eureka Tower, which is located right next door to the accommodation. Here, ascend to 285 metres above ground in the fastest elevator in the Southern Hemisphere, the journey only takes 38 seconds. Enjoy spectacular 360-degree views over Albert Park Lake, Port Phillip Bay, the Dandenong Ranges and beyond. Later, uncover the heritage of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, on a guided tour to explore the inner sanctum of the MCG. Walk on the hallowed turf and discover where legends play. Then explore the National Sports Museum with galleries including Cricket, Australian Football, Golf, Tennis and horse racing. Enjoy a sit-down meal in the Hugh Trumble Cafe inside the MCG Members Reserve. Return to the accommodation at Southbank and spend the afternoon exploring Southbank, exploring or shopping at your leisure. Tonight, dine at Melbourne’s famous Melba Restaurant on Southbank which is named after Melbourne's world famous opera performer - Dame Nellie Melba. Meals: BLD

Day 3: Tuesday 20 March 2018 - Puffing Billy & Dandenongs

Past Must-Do Melbourne tours have suggested that the Day in the Dandenongs is the highlight of the tour. Today, leave Melbourne and climb into the Dandenong Ranges. At Belgrave Station, board the Puffing Billy for a wonderfully scenic and old fashioned steamtrain journey through the Sherbrooke Forest. Cross the iconic 90 metre long Trestle Bridge over Monbulk Creek to Lakeside Station. After this wonderful experience, tame your appetite with a feast at the Bavarian Cuckoo Restaurant. This delightful 4 course buffet lunch, complete with themed music, entertainment and sing-along will certainly have you in good spirits! Walk off your lunch with a visit to the simply amazing William Ricketts Sanctuary - this natural rainforest garden is a place of beauty and tranquility dotted with countless incredibly detailed sculptures by the artist William Rickett. Tonight, after arriving back in Melbourne, dine at the iconic Melbourne’s Crown Casino in the Kitchen Workshop. After dinner, you may wish to further explore the Casino, it’s only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Meals: BLD

Day 4: Wednesday 21 March 2018 - Melbourne International Flower Show    

This year we've saved the best for last; the world famous floral spectacle, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. Be amongst the first through the door on day 1 of the show to see the gardens, exhibits and floral art at its brightest and most vibrant. Discover what is new and fashionable in the world of flowers, plants, gardens and landscaping. Housed in the stunning Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, the show offers hundreds of floral sculptures, rose and flower competition winners, hands on activities, celebrity and expert gardener presentations and information sessions, gardening and plant related stalls and exhibits and much more. Take your time and wander the gardens, sculptures and artwork, stores, stalls and exhibits or head across the square to the Melbourne Museum and iMax theatre. Tonight is the final night of the tour and to celebrate a great tour, enjoy a highlight dinner aboard a historic Melbourne tramcar restaurant. These iconic, burgundy restaurants on wheels are have been fully restored and transformed into the fantastic Colonial Tramcar Restaurant, the first travelling Tramcar Restaurants in the world! Enjoy a delightful, innovative and exclusive dining experience as they cruise the city streets of Melbourne serving a delicious 3 course meal with quality Australian wines or a selection of beer and softdrink. Meals: BD 

Day 5: Thursday 22 March 2018 - Melbourne - Toowoomba

After breakfast, return to Melbourne Airport to farewell your tour escort and driver and board the flight to Brisbane. On arrival you'll be met by a Stonestreets Coach for the transfer back to Toowoomba. Meals: BL

Note: At time of writing, Air North schedule Wellcamp to Melbourne and Melbourne to Wellcamp did not fit our tour schedule. Therefore flights ex Brisbane are necessary. If Air North changes schedule prior to our departure, and flights fit within our program, then flights may be re-scheduled to accommodate flights departing Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport (Toowoomba).
