Day 1:Saturday 28 April 2018 - Toowoomba – Brisbane - Norfolk Island

Wataweih - Welkam! Hello and Welcome!

Depart Toowoomba and transfer by luxury coach to Brisbane International Airport before an Air New Zealand flight to Norfolk Island. On arrival a local guide will greet and transfer the group to the accommodation; The Paradise Resort Hotel. Nestled amongst 11 acres of beautifully landscaped sub-tropical gardens, it'll be a pleasure to wake up here each morning. Enjoy some free time this afternoon to settle in before a special island welcome with music and pre-dinner drinks compliments of Stonestreets! Indulge in a night of Musical Entertainment over dinner with entertainer “Lully”, who will sing all the old time favourites whilst you feast. Meals: L*D

Day 2:Sunday 29 April 2018 - Island Tour and Fletcher’s Fate Dinner

Begin the first full day on the island with a Pinetree Half Day Tour. Get your bearings and discover the lay of the land with visits to historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and much more. Discover the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches, iconic Norfolk Island golf course, renowned Melanesian Chapel and learn about local Government, laws and lifestyle. Enjoy views from Queen Elizabeth Lookout and other scenic locations on a fully commentated tour. Stop a while to enjoy a delicious morning tea in the garden of an historic Island home which was built by Fletcher Christian and Matthew Quintal. Later return to the resort for lunch then explore or relax at your leisure. The main shopping district of Norfolk Island; Burnt Pine is just a short walk away or the Paradise Resort runs scheduled shuttle services to town and return. Later, enjoy an evening of of interactive theatre, intrigue and mystery with Norfolks most famous theatre dinner production; "Fletcher’s Fate". This entertaining play, examining the possible last movements and final whereabouts of the famous Bounty mutineer, Fletcher Christian, and is dramatically acted out by a 6 character cast over a sumptuous 3 course dinner. Day 3: Monday 30 April 2018 - Free day and Progressive Dinner

Spend the day at your leisure. Choose to relax at the resort and recharge the batteries, stroll in to town for another look around the shops or speak to the staff at the resort for a host of optional tours and activities. Snorkelling, kayaking, fishing and golf are some of the most popular island activites that you could try. Tonight enjoy a special Norfolk experience with a 3 course progressive dinner to three different Island homes. The residents of thesecarefully selected island homes will tell tales of their connection to Norfolk as well as give an insight to what life is like on Australia's island territory. Meals: BD

Day 4:Tuesday 1 May 2018 - Convict Settlement, Island Fish Fry & Sound & Light Show
Enjoy an in-depth tour of the historic Georgian settlement of Kingston. Wander through the cemetery and hear the stories behind convict and colonial headstones, and the houses along Quality Row. Explore the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill. Late afternoon, enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread and fresh fried fish whiel the sun sets over Puppy’s Point on Norfolk’s beautiful western coastline. Head back to Kingston where nightfall brings a different mood to the convict settlement. The stillness and the stars combine with dramatic use of light, sound and costumed actors to take visitors back to the early decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era. Meals DB

Day 5:Wednesday 2 May 2018 - Bush Breakfast and Wonderland by Night

First up this morning take your choice of a stroll through a one hundred acre reserve, or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk from Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument. At the end of both walks the group will meet on the clifftop for a delicious breakfast barbecue. After lunch at the resort,  join the Island Cultural Tour and experience the culture of the Norfolk Island forebears! From mutineer ancestors and their Tahitian wives came the arts of woodcarving, weaving, cooking and the Norfolk Language. On this tour see a demonstration using Norfolk timber, visit Island homes to learn about cooking and try your tongue at the Norfolk Island language. Enjoy an example of Island weaving following afternoon tea break. Tonight, feast at Barney Duffy’s Grill before the Wonderland by night show which illuminates parts of the 10 acres of magical Norfolk Pines and bushland. Meander along the gentle winding path with guide; Matt Bigg, a descendant of the Bounty mutineers who will recite poems and illuminate the dioramas. Meals: BLD

Day 6:Thursday 3 May 2018 - Behind the Hedges and Mutiny on the Bounty

Begin the day by peeking over some fences with a Behind the Hedges Tour; travel to Anson Bay to visit a small hobby farm, which has been instrumental in improving the local livestock industry. Close by, see a demonstration at Norfolk’s potter and browse at the Cottage Pottery shop. After a delicious morning tea at a scenic location, visit the local chocolate shop for a demonstration and tasting of the local chocolate. Stroll through one of the Island’s largest Banyan Trees then enjoy some time to yourself before another exciting night out. Start with a delicious 2 course dinner at Norfolk’s newest restaurant, Castaways, then head to the Mutiny on the Bounty Show. See descendants of the mutineers bring the story of the famed ‘Mutiny on the Bounty’ and historic events to life. Meals: BD

Day 7:Friday 4 May 2018 - Green Fingers Tour and Night as a Convict

Spend the morning exploring some of the Islands loveliest gardens.Visit a nursery owned and operated by a young Norfolk Islander as well as a private fruit and vegetable market garden and a rather gorgeous private garden with spectacular views of Kingston and Nepean and Philip Islands. A local historian will detail the history of the area,  dating to 1788. Tonight your past transgressions will catch up with you and you'll don convict outfits and join the Commandant for dinner. Enjoy this fun and entertaining evening of gaiety, feasting and singing with outfit supplied. This is the most popular feature dinner on Norfolk Island. Meals: BD

Day 8: Saturday 5 May 2018 - Norfolk Island – Brisbane – Toowoomba

Spend the morning at will until lunch at the resort. Then, farewell the island and fly from Norfolk Island Airport to Brisbane. Arrive at Brisbane International Airport late afternoon and transfer by Stonestreets Coach back to Toowoomba. Meals: BLD*

*Note: Lunch on day 1 and Dinner on day 8 will be in-flight meals supplied by Air New Zealand.
