Day 1: Sunday 29 September 2019
ADELAIDE SIGHTS
Arrive in Spectacular South Australia’s capital, Adelaide, a city bursting with history and culture. It is also the gateway to world class wine regions, sanctuaries of untouched wildlife and of course, the tranquil Murray River. Today, discover what the city has to offer with a local guide, then arrive at your hotel for a group dinner. Meals:D     Stay: Adelaide Rockford (2 nights)

Day 2: Monday 30 September 2019
BAROSSA SIGHTS
Today, explore the internationally acclaimed wine region, the Barossa Valley. Arrive in Lyndoch for a visit to the Barossa Chateau, a stunning building surrounded by a rose gardens of international significance. The chateau is also the home to one of the largest collections of porcelain in Australia. Browse the interesting collection, stroll the lovely gardens or splurge in the boutique retail area. Later, depart for Seppeltsfield, the region’s most iconic winery where you’ll spend the afternoon immersed in history while you enjoy wine and delicious local produce. Our final stop is Anlaby Station, one of the finest homesteads in country South Australia. Anlaby is more like a village than a farm with a collection of cottages and houses built for the dozens of gardens, coachmen, kennel masters and farm workers. The property thrived in its heyday with as many as 70 people working and living here with their families. We enjoy a tour to end our perfect day in the Barossa. Meals: BLD

Day 3: Tuesday 1 October 2019
ADELAIDE – VICTOR HARBOUR 
This morning, travel to the seaside town of Victor Harbour and enjoy a historic Horse Drawn Tram ride across The Causeway to Granite Island. Feel the ocean breeze as the beautiful Clydesdale horses draw you along the jetty bridge. Enjoy free time to explore the rugged coastline or spot the little penguins that inhabit the island. After time in town to purchase lunch, take an incredible interactive journey at the SA Whale Centre. A guide, with the help of audio-visual displays, artefacts and a 3D theatrette will introduce you to the magnificent giants of the sea. Meals:BD     Stay: McCracken Country Club, Victor Harbour

Day 4: Wednesday 2 October  2019 
VICTOR HARBOUR – KANGAROO ISLAND
Rise and shine to depart early for a ferry to spectacular Kangaroo Island. Today, visit some interesting attractions unique to the island. Firstly; Clifford’s Honey Farm – home to Kangaroo Island’s own population of Ligurian bees (the only pure strain in the world). Close by is Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery where you’ll take an interesting tour of the plant and equipment used in producing eucalyptus oil and products. Enjoy a delicious lunch before visiting Raptor Domain to see an impressive Birds of Prey demonstration.  Meals: BLD

Day 5: Thursday 3 October 2019
KANGAROO ISLAND SIGHTS
Kangaroo Island has an abundance of incredible wildlife and today you’ll surely relish the chance to get up close and personal. Your local guide will join us on the coach today as you travel to the famous Seal Bay. Visit the heart of the colony where your experienced guide will teach you about the wonderful Australian Sea Lions. There is nowhere else in the world where you can listen to an expert give you their unique insight while walking amongst the colony. Arrive at Hanson Bay Sanctuary for a leisurely stroll down ‘Koala Walk’ and observe the amazing Koalas relaxing in the avenue of shady Eucalyptus trees. This afternoon, explore everything that Flinders Chase National Park has to offer. The park’s coastal scenery includes Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks and an excellent boardwalk highlighting a colony of New Zealand Fur Seals below. Meals: BLD

Day 6: Friday 4 October 2019
KANGAROO ISLAND - MANNUM
This morning, travel back to Penneshaw to connect with the ferry service to Cape Jervis. Once back on the mainland, visit McLaren Vale, the birthplace of South Australia’s wine industry. Set amongst a tranquil lake, gorgeous vines and 200-year-old gum trees is Serafino Winery. Relax in this beautiful setting and enjoy a glass of wine over a delicious lunch. Mid-afternoon arrive in Mannum, one of the oldest towns on the majestic Murray River. Here, board the largest inland paddle wheeler in the southern hemisphere, the PS Murray Princess for a 3-night Discovery Cruise. Head downriver while enjoying a welcome dinner. Cruise slowly under floodlights to the overnight mooring at Mundurra.  Keep an eye out nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Watch for kangaroos, hairy-nosed wombats, tortises and other native species while the on-board entertainer provides music for the night owls.  Meals: BLD    Stay: Murray Princess, Captain Cook Cruises (3 nights)

Day 7: Saturday 5 October 2019
MURRAY PRINCESS
In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards Crossing, which quickly became the bustling township of Murray Bridge. After a hearty breakfast, choose to join a guided tour of the town’s historic landmarks and local attractions or, take a wildlife tour at Monarto Zoo (additional cost). Those who choose to experience Monarto Zoo will arrive back on board the Murray Princess in time for lunch in the Sturt Dining Room for a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine produced in the Riverland. This afternoon, continue your journey upriver. Tonight, moor at Salt Bush Flat then, after dinner, enjoy the entertainment of the talented crew.  Meals:BLD

Day 8: Sunday 6 October 2019
MURRAY PRINCESS
All ashore for a guided nature walk to learn the secrets of the local flora and fauna and stretch your legs before the PS Murray Princess departs and cruises downriver. Near Fromms Landing you’ll cruise downriver to River View Lodge (near Piggy Flat / Coolcha). Here, change vessels for a wildlife tour. Travel in small, personalised groups and explore the maze of the river where the birdlife is spectacular. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river’s muddy edges. The afternoon offers a choice of bocce or fishing challenges before joining the Captain and Officers for the Farewell Dinner and Dance.  Meals: BLD

Day 9: Monday 7 October 2019
MURRAY PRINCESS - Adelaide
Return to Mannum, then after breakfast, reluctantly say farewell at the Mannum Wharf. Continue to Adelaide where your tour ends at either your city accommodation or for those with pre-arranged flights, Adelaide Airport. Meals: B

PS MURRAY PRINCESS
 

The PS Murray Princess is an inland paddlewheeler, specifically built for the Murray River.  With a character and charm of yesteryear, it is the largest inland paddlewheeler in the southern hemisphere. She caters for 120 passengers and provides an incredible experience in a remarkable Australian setting. 

The Murray Princess is no imitation, with a fully functional stern wheel which propels the vessel down the Murray at a relaxed pace. The vessel is appointed with classical adornments featuring a brass and mahogany spiral staircase, stately cabins, relaxing decks, a bar, two lounges and even the modern luxuries like Wi-Fi, DVD and video, guest laundry and 24 hour tea and coffee facilities. 

The PS Murray Princess cruises between Mannum, Murray Bridge and Salter's Station along the Murray River. The wetlands in this area provide essential breeding and feeding habitats for many species of waterbirds, fish, invertebrates and plants, meaning that you'll see the wonderful wildlife in this outback setting.
