Day 1 Australia - Casablanca, Morocco
Today depart from either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth for Casablanca, Morocco! Fly with the award winning Etihad Airways.
Meals included: In-Flight

Day 2 Arrive into Casablanca - Rabat
Be welcomed by your tour leader at Casablanca airport and transfer to your hotel for the night in Rabat (approx. 1 hour journey).

Day 3 Rabat - Meknes - Fez Morning guided visit of the medina of Rabat, including the Royal Palace (Mechouar), the Kasbah des Oudayas, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Hassan Tower. Drive to the imperial city of Meknes, the Ismaili capital, famous for its long walls (40 km). Visit Bab Mansour, the Royal Stables, and the Jewish quarter. After lunch at a traditional restaurant (not included), continue to the holy city of Moulay Idriss and then to the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis. Visit the archaeological site and then continue on to Fez.

Day 4 Fez City Tour
The whole day is dedicated to exploring Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco. The visit to the medieval medina includes the Madersa Bou Inania and Attarine, the Nejjarine fountain, and Karaouine University. Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant in the medina (not included). In the afternoon enjoy a visit to Fez El Jadid.

Day 5 Fez - Merzouga
This morning head towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Witness both the climate and landscape change as you drive into southern Morocco, full of stunning landscapes, mountain lakes, and Berber villages. After Erfoud, the dunes of Erg Chebbi start to appear - “There is no greater feeling than getting into the wilderness.” (JM Le Clézio). This is surely what you will feel whilst experiencing the vast spaces of sand dunes, and discovering the charm of night. Enjoy a camel ride to watch the sunset on the dunes. Tonight spend the night in a kasbah at the foot of the dunes.

Day 6 Merzouga & Erg Chebbi Dunes
Camel trek through the dunes. Discover breathtaking views from dune to dune, and picnic under the shade of the tamarisk tree. Here find your ‘ship of the desert’ waiting for you. You will clamber onto the back of your camel and gently plod into the sand dunes like a true desert nomad. The sensation of being surrounded by endless desert is incredibly calming and the silence is overwhelming. Arrive at your accommodation, nestled in between the sand dunes. Take a walk along the rim of the sand dunes as the sun begins to set. Later that evening savour a traditional meal followed by music and dancing by the campfire.

Day 7 Merzouga - Tinghir - Boumalne Dades
Leave Merzouga towards Tinghir, walking through the beautiful palm grove and fields, and then visiting the famous Todgha Gorge. Walk in the real life oasis of Tinghir (1 hour walk). In the afternoon, continue to the famous Dades Valley, known for its beautiful kasbahs and fortified villages, as you visit the gorges and stay overnight in a kasbah.

Day 8 Boumalne Dades - Qella M’gouna - Ouarzazate
Today discover the beautiful Valley of Roses, famous for its beautiful rose gardens and adobe villages. Explore the village of Boutaghrar, known as the little “Moroccan Colorado” located at the foot of the Middle Atlas. Stroll through the village and meet the Berbers happy to share with you family-like moments. Lunch today is with a Berber family in a local family home. In the afternoon, continue to Ouarzazate, the Berber “Hollywood” and the Moroccan desert gate.

Day 9 Ouarzazate - Taroudant
Morning visit of the famous kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most fascinating kasbahs of Morocco. Aït Ben Haddou has been the location for several big budget films, including Alexander, Lawrence of Arabia, and Gladiator. Through the mountains of the Anti-Atlas, we head to Taznakht, a small town known for weaving Berber carpet. Have lunch (not included) in Taznakht before continuing to Taliouine, the capital of Saffron. Arrive in the afternoon at Taroudant.

Day 10 Taroudant - Tafraoute
Visit Taroudant located at the intersection of the Souss valley and the mountains of the High Atlas. Often referred to as “little Marrakech”, the city was the first capital of the Saadian’s dynasty during the sixteenth century, and a refuge for rebel princes. Nowadays, it is a place for desert travellers to rest in the shade of its stunning ocher walls. Continue to Tafraoute, the city of almond trees, surrounded by impressive pink granite valleys that are beautifully illuminated by the desert sun.

Day 11 Tafraoute - Essaouira
Today leave the city of Tafraoute through the beautiful volcanic landscape of the Anti-Atlas. Continue your journey to Agadir, travelling the road along the Atlantic admiring the stunning seascapes. Arrival in Essaouira, with free time to explore the city at your leisure before dinner.

Day 12 Welcome To Essaouira
Today, be given the opportunity to see the medina of Essaouira, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. The medina was once referred to as Mogador, meaning “small fortress”. Wind down with a magnificent sunset on the beach and meet local artisans in the local souk.

Day 13 Essaouira - Marrakech
Free morning to enjoy the unique atmosphere offered by Essaouira. After lunch (not included) head to Marrakech, check into your riad, and enjoy free time to visit the souks and the Jemaa El Fna square.

Day 14 Marrakech City Tour
Morning guided visit of the main monuments of the city, including Badii Palace, the Koutoubia Minaret, the Saadian tombs and the Ben Youssef Madrasa. In the afternoon, free time to stroll through the souks.

Day 15 Marrakech - Casablanca
Departure for Casablanca, the economic and financial capital and the second largest port city in Morocco, endowed with a special charm. Visit of the Hassan II Mosque, an important religious and cultural site built on the sea and dominated by its 210m high minaret.

Day 16 Casablanca, Morocco - Abu Dhabi, UAE
At the appropriate time transfer to Casablanca airport with your guide. Please note: if your flight departs early, breakfast will be arranged for pick up from the hotel reception the night before. Board your flight to Abu Dhabi. You will be met by a representative and transferred to your 4 star hotel for the night.
